As a Catholic school, within the parish community of St Augustine’s, our core mission is to witness the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the children in our care. With the Holy Family as our guide, we endeavour to nurture the development of our children in partnership with families in a safe and caring environment
In an atmosphere of care and concern, where each child is valued for their uniqueness, we aim to provide an excellent education, so that all children can attain their full potential spiritually, academically, socially, culturally and physically.
Embedded in a Catholic educational experience for all members of the school community, St Augustine’s strives to be an innovative learning community by providing diverse opportunities.
With the completion of the BER program our school now has state of the art library (know as the LARC – Library and Resource Centre), administration building and three new learning centres. Each classroom has a number of internet connected computers with all cohorts having a minimum of 20 computers and notebooks for daily use. Every classroom has an interactive whiteboard. Dispersed throughout the school are digital cameras, iPads, wireless keyboards and other relevant technological devices.
There are over 70 staff members to help support each child’s learning. The saying ‘It takes a village to raise a child’ nestles neatly into the learning framework for our school. Our staff are well qualified and have a depth of experience to support all learners.
