Mission & Purpose

The St Augustine’s Parents and Friends’ Association meets on the first Tuesday of every month during school terms at 7:00 pm in the Library. The P&F is the organisation that brings our school community together to celebrate the education of our children. Often a consequence of these gatherings is fundraising. The P & F supports the school through fund-raising, working bees, and, at some meetings, a guest speaker addresses parents on a relevant topic.

Key Activities & Events

Some of the important fundraisers for the P & F are the School Fete, the St Augustine’s Golf Day, Spellathon and Mothers and Fathers’ Day stalls.
The P & F also assists with the purchase of sporting and general classroom equipment, Library books and with the school grounds.

St Augustine’s supports the Catholic Schools Parent Assembly (CSPA) which is an organisation representing all parents across the Diocese. It was authorised by the Bishop through the Diocesan Education Board to serve the needs of parents as partners in the mission of Catholic Schools as informed by Church teaching and guided by educational research. Two delegates represent the School. The Assembly often arranges visiting speakers to talk on aspects of parenting.

St Augustine’s is committed to supporting parents in the exciting but challenging role of parenting. Each year there is usually a course/workshop presented. These valuable presentations are usually part of the Catholic Schools Parent Assembly program.
